Kristen is a historic preservation specialist and archaeologist with more than a decade of experience helping communities, organizations, and agencies research, protect, and interpret the past. As the founder of Hohn Historical Consulting, she brings together rigorous historical research, regulatory expertise, and engaging public interpretation.
Kristen holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology with a specialization in Historical Archaeology and a Certificate in Historic Preservation. Her work spans state and federal compliance review, including Section 106, grant and consultant report review, subcontracting support, and in-depth historic research. She also develops and delivers lectures, guest speaking engagements, and guided historic tours that make history accessible and meaningful to diverse audiences.
Known for her clear communication, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Kristen works with clients to navigate complex preservation requirements while telling thoughtful, compelling stories about place and people.
